The retina is the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye. Medical retina care covers conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal vascular problems.

Why screening matters

People living with diabetes are advised to have regular retinal examinations, as early changes often cause no symptoms. Detecting them early allows treatment to begin sooner.

What to expect
